Tully Nursing Home is a community owned not-for-profit Aged Care facility. We are able to offer Permanent Residential Care and Residential Respite Care. Our 72 bed facility offers an variety of accommodation options, all are private rooms with their own ensuite.
Mission
The aim of The Board, Nursing Management and staff is to provide the highest standard of care, whilst upholding the dignity, privacy and personal rights of the consumer and their relatives. Consumer care will be approached with consideration to their physical, emotional, spiritual and socio-economic needs, regardless of colour, creed and nationality, sexuality and gender. To maintain our high standard of care and services we will validate and implement our actions in a timely manner.

The Board, Nursing Management and staff embrace and are committed to the concept of quality care, and will strive to continuously improve services to consumers, relatives and staff. The living and working environment of the facilities will be clean and safe, and allow our consumers, relatives and staff a sense of homeliness and security.

Rainforest
Single standard roon with ensuite
20 bed unit newly renovated reopened early 2020. Standard air-conditioned single rooms (18.16m2) with private ensuite. The rooms provide in-room storage, including built-in cupboard with shelving and chest of drawers. Every room has television connections and safety systems installed e.g. nurse call and fire safety services.
The current refundable accommodation deposit for these rooms is $375,000, providing an equivalent daily accommodation payment of $42.12/day.
Mountain View
Single standard room with ensuite
A 20 bed secure unit built in 2019, divided into two 10 bed wings. Standard air-conditioned single rooms (18.16m2) with private ensuite. The rooms provide in-room storage, including built-in cupboard with shelving and chest of drawers. Every room has television connections and safety systems installed e.g. nurse call and fire safety services.
The current refundable accommodation deposit for these rooms is $375,000, providing an equivalent daily accommodation payment of $42.12/day.
Pine Lodge
Large single room with ensuite
Large air-conditioned single rooms (33.38m2) with private ensuite and patio. Each room has a kitchenette, lounge/dining spaces. The rooms provide in-room storage, including walk-in wardrobe with shelving and chest of drawers. Every room has telephone and television connections and safety systems installed e.g. nurse call and fire safety services.
The current refundable accommodation deposit for these rooms is $450,000, providing an equivalent daily accommodation payment of $50.55/day.
Flametree Wattle
Single standard room with ensuite
Standard air-conditioned single rooms (18.16m2) with private ensuite. The rooms provide in-room storage, including built-in cupboard with shelving and chest of drawers. Every room has telephone and television connections and safety systems installed e.g. nurse call and fire safety services.

Meet Our Staff
Anne O'Loughlin
Administration Front Reception, Accounts Receivable/Payable; I moved to North Queensland in 1989 from Highett, Victoria. My background has been administration but with my positive “I can do” attitude and willingness to give anything a ‘go’, I have had my own business, worked as a Leading Hand/Gardener, travelled and my most rewarding position to date is being a Nana. I joined the Nursing Home in 2011 in the role of Administration Assistant, now Administration Officer, which is an extremely varied and sometimes challenging role that I find very fulfilling.
Lisa Bell
Business Manager; I am new to Tully Nursing Home, having recently completed by Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting through JCU in Townsville. I have a varied background in all aspects of admin, procurement, safety and accounting. My position involves overseeing the administration and accounting side of the business. My commitment is to ensure the organisation stays viable in a competitive market.
Therese Peatey
Hospitality Supervisor; I commenced work at Tully Nursing Home in April 2013, being employed as a member of the hospitality team. In May 2015 I accepted the position of Hospitality Supervisor. My duties in this position include, but are not limited to, the participation in the care of residents by providing them with quality food service, cooking, supervising and guiding staff in hospitality, participating in menu planning, preparing staff rosters, monitoring and assuring food and kitchen hygiene is in accordance with current government and local authority requirements, managing costs in accordance with the budget and managing laundry and cleaning services.
Before coming to Tully, I worked for Blue Care in Mackay at Homefield. My standard for the services we provide is “If it is not good enough for my mother than it is not good enough.”
Danielle Jones
Clinical & Quality Administrator; My career in Aged Care began in 2003 where I started off in the catering department (of another facility) as a cook and kitchen hand. In 2007, I was employed by Tully Nursing Home as an AIN after obtaining a Cert III in Aged Care. My role as Quality Manager/2IC commenced in 2009. Throughout m tenure I have acted substantially in the roles of Director of Nursing, Facility Manager, Business Manager and Clinical Manager.
In June 2019 I was promoted to the role of Clinical & Quality Administrator. My position involves overseeing the clinical care of our residents and the development, implementation and review of quality assurance and control activities and programs to ensure achievement of quality improvement towards best practice in the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Andrew O'Farrel
Maintenace Supervisor; This roles’ primary objective is to ensure that Tully Nursing Home buildings, grounds and equipment are maintained to a high standard. The Supervisor coordinates two workers (a Gardener and Electrician) and Contractors to ensure these objectives are met. The Supervisors role is also ‘hands on’.
I have recently commenced work with Tully Nursing Home in June 2019. I have experience in a wide range of building and maintenance rolls as well as customer service and management. My aim is to ensure Tully Nursing Home is maintained to a high standard.
